OSHA Posts Respirator Training Videos

OSHA has posted a series of videos to help workers learn proper use of respirators on the job. The short videos, many provided in in English and Spanish, address workers in general industry and construction.

Topics include fit testing, medical evaluations, respiratory protection in general industry, respirator types, voluntary use of respirators, respiratory protection in construction, training requirements, respiratory protection for healthcare workers, the differences between respirators and surgical masks, donning & doffing, counterfeit respirators, maintenance and care, and the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (1910.134).

The videos are available with closed captioning for streaming or download. OSHA’s Respiratory Protection page includes additional training materials, information about occupational respiratory hazards in different industries, and details of OSHA’s respiratory protection standards.
