Si la víctima NO PUEDE respirar, toser o hablar - suministre rápidas compresiones (sujete a la víctima por encima de la cintura pero debajo de las costillas) (Evite persionar la parte inferior del esternón). Ponga su mano en forma de puño con el dedo pulgar hacia dentro. Mantenga el dedo pulgar hacia dentro, y con la otra mano presione su puño hacia dentro y hacia afuera. Repita estos pasos hasta que sean efectivos o hasta que la victima quede INCONSCIENTE. SI LA VÍCTIMA ESTÁ INCONSCIENTE, llame al 911 o envíe a alguien para que haga la llamada. Vuelva a atender a la víctima. Haga 30 compresiones en el pecho a un ritmo de 100 a 120 por minuto. Presione por lo menos 2 pulgadas (5,08 cm), pero no más de 2.4 pulgadas (6,10 cm). Permita el retroceso completo del tórax después de cada compresión. (Coloque el talón de la mano en el centro del esternón y el talón de su otra mano sobre la primera). Si está entrenado en reanimacíon cardiopulmonar (RCP), Ábra las vías Respiratorías. Mire si hay algún objeto extraño. Si ve algo, sáquelo inmediatamente (incline la cabeza, levante la barbilla). Comience con dos Respiraciones. Si está entrenado en RCP, repita los pasos C, A y B. En caso contrario, siga con las compresiones en el pecho hasta que la víctima comience a respirar o hasta que el servicio de emergencias/ayuda médica llegue.
