Three Point Contact Signs and Labels

Following contact-point guidelines can allow for safe access to the rear of a truck. Many vehicles mandate that when mounting, dismounting, or climbing that a person should have three points of contact with the vehicle, in other words, both hands and one foot should be anchored at all times to prevent a fall and potential serious injury. Even staircases might require care to prevent unfortunate falls. Use of the handrails to complete the three points of contact when ascending or descending can help people avoid slips.
