Swimming Pool Rules - Lifeguards are on duty to enforce rules and regulations and to respond to emergencies. - Parents/Guardians are responsible for the actions and behaviors of their children. - Children 5 years and under must be directly supervised in the pool, within arms reach at all times by a responsible parent or guardian. - Children 6 & 7 years old must be accompanied by a responsible individual 12 years or older in the pool area at all times. - Children 8 years and older may swim without a parent or guardian present. - Proper swim wear is required. Swim equipment and toys are permissible at the discretion of management. - Coast Guard approved lifejackets are allowed when directly supervised by a parent or guardian within arms reach. - A swimming ability test may be required before entering the deep water. - Swim diapers or plastic pants are required for participants who are diaper dependent. Diaper changing on or around the pool deck is prohibited. - No spitting, spouting water or blowing the nose in or around the pool. - Lap swimmers will be required to share lanes and circle swim when needed. - Food and drink in designated area only. No glass containers. - Swimmers with open sores or wounds or who have had diarrhea within the last 24 hours are asked not to get into the water. - Smoking in or within 15 feet of the entrance to any city-owned facility is prohibited. - No unsanctioned private lessons, coaching or selling of goods and services is allowed.

Swimming Pool Rules - All rules and requests made by lifesaving personnel must be followed. - All patrons entering the facility during Recreation/Lap Swim times are required to pay the facility admission fee. Parents wishing to watch their children that are 7 years and older during recreation swim are not required to pay the adult admission fee, but must remain in the designated spectator area.- Children under 7 years old or less than four feet tall must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person in a swim suit at all times including in the water, on the deck and in the restroom. While in the water, the parent/responsible person must remain within arms reach at all times. - All children under the age of 4 years old must wear a swimsuit diaper or plastic pants and swim suit regardless of toilet training. No cloth or disposable diapers are allowed. - Persons in the water must wear acceptable swim suits. T-shirts are not allowed. A tight fitting rash guard is acceptable. - Animals are not allowed in the building or pool area, with the exception of guide/service dogs. Guide/service dogs are allowed on deck, but not in the water. - Persons under the influence of alcohol or narcotics will be denied admission and/or asked to leave the premises.- Candy, food or beverages are not allowed except in designated area provided for eating or drinking. No glass items, chewing gum or smoking is permitted in the facility. - Flotation devices (water wings, swim suits with floats etc.) are not allowed. Toys, snorkels and masks are not allowed unless part of organized activity or approved by the Pool Manager. Lifejackets must be U.S. Coast Guard approved. - Suntan oils may not be used by sunbathers or swimmers. The use of sunscreen is encouraged; however, patrons must shower before re-entering the pool. - All patrons must shower before entering the pool. Persons with open cuts, sores, bandages, colds, coughs or infected eyes are not permitted in the pool. - Spitting, spouting or nose-blowing in the pool is strictly prohibited. - Everyone must pass a swim test before entering deep water. Weak or non-swimmers must remain in shallow water not deeper than their armpits. - Lying on the deck close to the edge of the pool where swimmers may trip over sunbathers is dangerous. Sunbathers must lie or sit at least three (3) feet away from the edge of the pool or in a designated area for such activity. - Dangerous practices are prohibited. Patrons must not run on decks; climb, sit or jump from fences: dive in shallow water (less than 9 feet deep): dunk, push, pull or splash swimmers. Jumps are permitted feet first. Back jumps, twisting and flips are not permitted at any time. - Diving in water less than nine (9) feet deep, back dives, somersaults, cannon balls from the side of the pool or any other unsafe activity are not permitted. - Do not engage with the lifeguard in unnecessary conversation. - Emergency procedures must be observed. Misconduct of this or any other type is grounds for expulsion from the pool. - Lifeguards may exclude anyone from the deep water who has not demonstrated sufficient ability to swim. - Only Red Cross or Coast Guard-approved pool floats are allowed in the pool. - Only inflatable balls are allowed in the pool. Staff can deny use of these items if they are misused or if they cause a disturbance. - Food is allowed in designated picnic areas only. No glass containers or alcohol of any kind are allowed inside the facility - Do not lounge or loiter near the lifeguard, stand or talk with lifeguards while they are on-duty. Questions should be directed to Pool Attendants or Managers unless there is an immediate safety issue. - Drugs, alcohol and weapons are strictly prohibited. We will make our best effort to secure strollers. - Follow the directives of lifeguards, pool staff, and the police. - Ball playing, running, jumping, using profane language or other forms of disruptive and disorderly behavior are prohibited. - No diving, except in designated areas. - No smoking, pets, or glass bottles permitted. - Books and bound periodicals are permitted on the pool deck. Newspapers are not.

The Pool Manager must approve video recording and photography of any kind within the pool area. - Inappropriate language, verbal abuse and individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited from our pool. - Smoking, gum chewing, sunflower seeds and spitting are not permitted. - Persons with open sores, cuts or rashes are not permitted in pool complex; bandages are prohibited in pool. - Safety equipment is for pool staff use only. - Food and drinks in designated areas only. Alcohol and glass containers are not permitted. - Pool staff is required to close the pool in cases of inclement weather and/or after pool contamination incidents. - Please be advised that the pool staff may observe a 15 minute safety area during every 1.5 hours of operation in order to check equipment and account for all patrons present.

Swimming Pool Rules - Diving in shallow areas is not allowed. Signs indicate areas where patrons should not dive. Throwing of bathers or allowing bathers to dive from each other's shoulders or knees is also not allowed. - Two speaker radios or oversized one speaker radios are not allowed. - Fighting or rough horseplay is not allowed. This includes chicken fighting and dunking. - SCUBA equipment (tank, regulator and buoyancy control device) is not allowed unless used by a SCUBA class. Patrons must seek shelter under a man made structure during a thunderstorm. - Glass of any type is not permitted. - Alcohol and drugs are not allowed in the pool area. Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed into the facility. - Nerf balls, air mattresses and floats are allowed in the shallow end (4ft or less) only if the pool is not crowded. - Inner tubes are not allowed. - Baby floats are allowed only if the child is being supervised by an adult in the designated area. The child must be within arms reach of the supervising adult. - Bicycles, skates or skateboards are not allowed in the pool area. - Water guns are not allowed. - Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. - Plastic toys are allowed inside the pool area only with adult supervision. - Patrons cannot have children sitting on their shoulders or holding onto their backs. - Five minutes before every hour there will be a five minute safety check. All swimmers will be asked to get out of the pool, except for those who are doing swimming laps. - All children under the age of 10 must be actively supervised by someone that is 15 or older. All children between the ages of 10 and 14 must take a swim test if they do not have supervision. They will be allowed to swim in the pool if they pass the swim test.
