Diving permitted in designated areas only. - Abusive or profane language directed to other guests or staff is not acceptable. Swimming Pool Rules - Bathing suits must be worn on the deck and in the water. Men's bathing suits must have mesh linings. Hats may be worn on the deck for sun protection but are not allowed in the water. Plain white T-shirts may be worn over bathing suits if desired. Sneakers are not permitted. Rubber flip flops or water shoes are permitted. - No urinating or defecating in the pools. - Children under 16 must be at least eight inches taller than the maximum water depth to enter the pool without adult supervision. Specific height requirements are posted at every pool. - No person will be permitted in the pool having: skin lesions, sores, or inflamed eyes, mouth, nose or ear discharge, carrying communicable disease or having any type of bandages, adhesive tape, etc., on their body. - All bathers must take a shower in the locker room before entering the pool. - Patrons must provide and use their own padlock. No responsibility is assumed for lost articles. A standard combination lock is recommended. Small luggage locks are not permitted. - The use of swimming aids, water toys, and flotation devices is prohibited. - Electronic equipment, including radios, cameras, and cellular phones, is not allowed on pool deck. - Eating or drinking is permitted only in designated areas. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. - Beach chairs, baby strollers, bags, blankets, or beach balls are not permitted on the pool deck. No glass items, chewing gum or smoking is permitted in the facility. - Flotation devices (water wings, swim suits with floats etc.) are not allowed. Toys, snorkels and masks are not allowed unless part of organized activity or approved by the Pool Manager. Lifejackets must be U.S. Coast Guard approved. - Suntan oils may not be used by sunbathers or swimmers. The use of sunscreen is encouraged; however, patrons must shower before re-entering the pool. - All patrons must shower before entering the pool. Persons with open cuts, sores, bandages, colds, coughs or infected eyes are not permitted in the pool. - Spitting, spouting or nose-blowing in the pool is strictly prohibited. - Everyone must pass a swim test before entering deep water. Weak or non-swimmers must remain in shallow water not deeper than their armpits. - Lying on the deck close to the edge of the pool where swimmers may trip over sunbathers is dangerous. Sunbathers must lie or sit at least three (3) feet away from the edge of the pool or in a designated area for such activity. - Dangerous practices are prohibited. Patrons must not run on decks; climb, sit or jump from fences: dive in shallow water (less than 9 feet deep): dunk, push, pull or splash swimmers. Jumps are permitted feet first. Back jumps, twisting and flips are not permitted at any time. - Diving in water less than nine (9) feet deep, back dives, somersaults, cannon balls from the side of the pool or any other unsafe activity are not permitted. - Do not engage with the lifeguard in unnecessary conversation. - Emergency procedures must be observed. Swimming Pool Rules - Diving in shallow areas is not allowed. Signs indicate areas where patrons should not dive. Throwing of bathers or allowing bathers to dive from each other's shoulders or knees is also not allowed. - Two speaker radios or oversized one speaker radios are not allowed. - Fighting or rough horseplay is not allowed. This includes chicken fighting and dunking. - SCUBA equipment (tank, regulator and buoyancy control device) is not allowed unless used by a SCUBA class. Snorkels are allowed if they are used with supervision. - Frisbees, tennis balls or any hard balls are not allowed. - Profanity or public display of affection is not allowed. - Fins must be worn only in the water. They must be taken off when out of the water. - All children who are not yet toilet trained must wear a swim diaper along with their bathing suit when entering the water. A plastic or rubber diaper cover is highly recommended in addition to a swim diaper and bathing suit. A swim diaper or regular diaper must be worn while out of the water. - The pool will close for 30 minutes when thunder is heard and/or lighting is sighted. The pool will reopen 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard or lighting is seen. Patrons must seek shelter under a man made structure during a thunderstorm. - Glass of any type is not permitted. - Alcohol and drugs are not allowed in the pool area. Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed into the facility. - Nerf balls, air mattresses and floats are allowed in the shallow end (4ft or less) only if the pool is not crowded. - Inner tubes are not allowed. - Baby floats are allowed only if the child is being supervised by an adult in the designated area. The child must be within arms reach of the supervising adult. - Bicycles, skates or skateboards are not allowed in the pool area. - Water guns are not allowed. - Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. - Plastic toys are allowed inside the pool area only with adult supervision. - Patrons cannot have children sitting on their shoulders or holding onto their backs. - Five minutes before every hour there will be a five minute safety check. All swimmers will be asked to get out of the pool, except for those who are doing swimming laps. - All children under the age of 10 must be actively supervised by someone that is 15 or older. All children between the ages of 10 and 14 must take a swim test if they do not have supervision. They will be allowed to swim in the pool if they pass the swim test.
