Start Up Procedures: 1. Be sure bowl turns freely by hand (use steam in cold weather). 2. Start Centrifuge: run for 2 - 5 minutes. 3. Close 2†valve on feed tube approximately 1/2 way, then start feed pump. 4. Open 2†valve as torque on gearbox arm permits. *5. For weighted muds, close feed valve 90% before starting feed pump. Shut Down Procedures: 1. Shut off feed pump. 2. Let Centrifuge run 10 - 15 minutes, then shut it off. Note: Do not use anything except shear pins provided by KSW Oilfeld.
